Gantt chart and milestones

A Simple Gantt Chart Your Whole Team Can Read

Most Gantt charts need training. WhaTTask's milestone timeline needs three actions: draw a stage, drag it to move, click it to see its tasks.

What you get

Draw milestones

Drag across the timeline to create a stage such as Concept, Script or Shoot. Exact dates can be set in the form.

Drag to reschedule

Move a whole milestone left or right; the dates update for everyone.

Progress you can see

Each bar fills as its tasks are completed, and turns amber with “N days late” when it runs over.

What is blocking a stage

Tags show how many tasks are on hold or overdue in each milestone.

Payment milestones

A ₹ marker shows payments: blue when due, red when overdue, green when received.

Milestones from tasks

Tick “Show this task as a milestone” when creating a key task, and its end date follows the task deadline.

How it works

1

Open a project

The timeline sits at the top of the project page.

2

Draw the stages

Drag across the empty row.

3

Add tasks

Create tasks inside each milestone.

4

Watch it fill

Progress, late stages and payments update by themselves.

Questions

Does it support task dependencies?

No. The timeline is deliberately simple: stages, dates and progress, without dependency arrows.

Who can edit the timeline?

Project owners and managers can draw and move milestones. Other members can view it.

Can milestones show payments?

Yes. Mark a milestone as an Advance, Part or Final payment. Only people with the View Payments permission see the amounts.
